Huddersfield Leisure Centre — Training Pool Update

Following previous investigations into the essential works required at the Training Pool at Huddersfield Leisure Centre, Kirklees Council and KAL can now confirm that the required improvement works to the ventilation and associated systems will commence on Monday 14th September 2026.

The works are necessary to improve the ventilation system and associated infrastructure serving the Training Pool. These improvements will help ensure the facility continues to provide a safe, comfortable and high-quality environment for customers.

We anticipate that the works will take approximately 2½ months and will update customers regarding a re-opening date once this is confirmed.

KAL and Kirklees Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
