Photography Public Statement

Introduction

We know many people like to take pictures when they use our centres and where we can we are happy to allow this. We do, however, have a responsibility to safeguard visitors who may be at risk of harm and to protect the privacy of individuals in specific areas of our facilities.

Definitions

In this policy we:

  • define a customer as an individual who has purchased access to a facility, activity or service.
  • reference the term “pictures” to include any photography or videos, including live streaming.

There are a few rules you need to keep in mind.

Customers

As a customer we ask that:

  • you only take pictures of yourself, friends and family members or those you have permission to take pictures of. This will help prevent you causing any nuisance to other centre users.
  • you don’t obstruct the safe and efficient operation of our centres by putting yourself or any equipment where it could cause an obstruction or safety risk.
  • your pictures must be for personal use. If you want to take pictures for a commercial reason, please contact us before you visit.

You must not take pictures in the following areas:

  • Toilets,
  • Changing rooms,
  • Swimming pools, including balconies and other spectating areas (unless exclusive private hire).
  • First aid rooms; or
  • Employee only areas.

YOU MUST NOT

Customers are prohibited from using all electronic devices (including phones, tablets, cameras and laptops) in our changing rooms, changing villages and toilets.

If at any point you are asked to stop taking pictures by a member of our team, you must immediately stop.

Our staff should explain why they have asked you to stop, if they have not, you may ask for a reason and/or contact the duty team leader or manager.

Even if you disagree with their decision at the time, we ask that you respect it. If you would like us to review the matter after the event, please contact us.

If you refuse to follow the instructions of our staff or escalate the situation, we will ask you to leave the centre. In the event of serious cases, we may review your future access to our centres.

We have zero-tolerance of verbal or abusive behaviour towards our team members and other customers.

Members of the public

If you are a member of the public wanting to take pictures, we recommend you contact us before you visit. We will then do our best to accommodate your requests.

If you visit unannounced you will be limited to taking pictures from public places:
