KAL Swim – Huddersfield Leisure Centre Distance Swim

KAL have previously delivered a successful distance swim as part of the February half‑term holiday products.

KAL will be delivering another distance swim at Huddersfield Leisure Centre as part of the May holidays.

This distance swim is an opportunity for swimmers to complete the Swim England distance awards. The distance swim will allow participants to achieve awards they wouldn’t always be able to obtain during their KAL swim lesson.

As part of this event, swimmers may also have the opportunity to be invited to attend a Training Academy trial if the swimmer is selected by KAL Swim Performance coaches. Swimmers can attend from all KAL lesson sites.

Event Details

KAL will be hosting a distance swim at Huddersfield Leisure Centre, Competition Pool on Wednesday 27th May 2026. The session will run from 9.30am–11.30am and will be split into two bookable hourly slots:

Eligible swimmers for the distance swim will be those currently in one of the following KAL Swim sessions:

• Stage 5
• Stage 6
• Stage 7
• Rookie Lifeguards
• Training Academy

All attendees must be current KAL Swim members and have an active booking to one of the above sessions.
